The assessment and treatment of communication problems and speech disorders is known as speech therapy.

It is carried out by speech-language pathologists (SLPs), who are commonly referred to as speech therapists.

Speech therapy techniques are utilized to enhance communication, which may include articulation therapy, language intervention activities, and other methods based on the specific needs of toddlers or speech therapy for kid and speech therapy for adults.

Speech therapy may be required for speech disorders that emerge in childhood, or for speech impairments in adults caused by injury or illness, such as stroke or brain injury.
